Last Sat, me and xiao didi went to JB for dinner! We’ve been saying that we should go again some day, but there’s always some reasons to put off the trip – me being sick, him being sick, me not free, he not free, Malaysia holidays, etc etc. So finally we manged to get going!
We ordered a large cup of sugarcane drink while waiting for our food! It’s really huge!
And then there came a stray dog who stood right next to me. I think he probably was hoping for some food, but too bad we only had our sugarcane drink! Sorry doggie :(
Aaaaaaand, our first dish is here! THIS is why the reason I wanna come back! It’s like, THE BEST BBQ stingray I’ve ever eaten!! Xdd already helped me asked for less spicy, but as you can see, it’s still pretty spicy! But I’d brave all that fire in my mouth to eat this! It’s seriously awesome – superb freshness, and there’s actually a lot of flesh (unlike those in SG), and all these for only RM24 (~SGD10+)!!! Go where find, seriously?! In SG, you have to pay minimum $8 for a super small tiny piece of BBQ stingray….
Then came other side dishes which we ordered~ Stir-fried dou miao (RM8) and fried egg omelette with shrimps (RM6 only!). Both were very good too!
And the last to the parteh~~!! CRAYFISH!!! RM35 for 3 of them!!! They split each crayfish into half, so I get to eat three and xdd ate 3. The flesh was absolutely fresh! We were deciding between butter crayfish or salted egg yolk crayfish, and then we ended up with salted egg yolk version. It was okay – but not the one that xdd was craving for. We have decided to try the butter one the next time we come!
Pardon the not-so-appetising stuff at the side of the plate lol. This is just to show you how fresh it is! The whole flesh came out just like that. <3 <3 <3
It was really a good dinner! Too bad we don’t go in often, but I get a very satisfied tummy each time I went in! Huge thanks to xdd who intro this place to me and brought me there everytime. :D
