Dammit, I’m so fickle. I need to test out the interface first… I don’t mind spending some time to learn how to play around with an Android phone, but I certainly don’t want frustrations if the user interface is bad.
Not that Desire will be bad. On the contrary, I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews and comment about the phone.
That said… it’s gonna be a pain in the ass to convert all my DRM-locked iTunes songs to MP3 format so that the Android phone can read it. And then those iPhone Apps that I’ve already bought.
Argh… I really hate how Apple restricts everything to themselves…
Meh, not in a good mood to type a proper entry. Just leave it here while I go sulk about stuff… -.-
OH YEAH. MY DRUID HITS LEVEL 80 FINALLY! So yeah, I’m a tree now. A happy tree. But gonna be a disgruntled one once Cataclysm hits.
I think dearie will faint if I ever use EDMW language while sms-ing him. :D
That aside, I’m thinking of getting a new handphone. Don’t get my wrong, my iPhone 3Gs is still working rather well, but frankly speaking, I’m getting a little sick at its inflexibility (with file formats and iTunes) and instability (frequent crashing of apps and freezing of phone). I’m currently considering an Andriod phone, since it’s one which I’ve never used before.
True, AppStore is a gem on its own but honestly speaking, I can do without the apps. I hardly play any games on my phone (except that occasional Words With Friends with my sis and dearie), and I honestly don’t mind giving up the games part (though I’m fairly certain Andriod has its fair share of games apps too).
Question is, how the hell can I get a hands-on on an Andriod 2.0 phone? I’ve heard quite a few nice things about the latest Samsung Galaxy S (although with a few negative reviews as well), but it seems that no one around me has it as almost everyone is using an iPhone nowadays. Sigh…
Not to mention that currently only Singtel carries Galaxy S… Meh.
Just wanna share some of the most epic trailer music out there! Yeah, I know I’ve posted in Facebook, but there’s so many that I can’t really spam there anyways! So here they are:
Akkadian Empire by AudioMachine
This one has been used in quite a lot of trailers, but most notably in Avatar trailer (that was with choir), as well the last part of StarCraft 2: Ghost of The Past trailer (version used is without choir).
Up next, it’s Freedom Fighters by Two Steps From Hell (featured in the latest Star Trek movie trailer):
I’ve listened to most of the albums by Two Steps From Hell, and I have to say this is one of the better ones. The others are a little “meh”, to be honest. AudioMachine is different. Most of AudioMachine’s music are epic. E-P-I-C. Perhaps not all are dramatic, but most are good.
Next one consist of three Movements: Requiem of A Tower – Movement II, III and IV, remixed by Corner Stone Cues. This is featured in the official Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers trailer, and technically you should listen to them in this order: Movement II, IV, then III. You can buy them in iTunes, and trust me, the three pieces flow like a whole song if you listen to them in the order that I recommended you. Here are the separate videos of the three Movements, but in my order (please be forewarned that the third video will take some time to load):
Requiem of A Tower – Movement II
Requiem of A Tower – Movement IV
Requiem of A Tower – Movement III
Cool huh! :D
Lastly, I just wanna share some other music that was created by AudioMachine, but I can’t exactly remember if they had been used in any trailers. But nevertheless, they are good!
Nordica by AudioMachine
Rising From The Ashes by AudioMachine
AudioMachine really has a lot, a lot of excellent music that I can simply put in most of the movie trailers. They are exceptionally good. Do check them out on YouTube. Unfortunately AudioMachine doesn’t sell their music to public, so you won’t be getting your hands on their CD. Neither would movie soundtracks feature trailer music in the OST, so you can almost forget about getting your hands on these mp3s (unless you have connections or is extremely resourceful). But trust me, the mp3s sounded really way better than those you heard on YouTube. I know, because I have them. ;) (All thanks to you, dearie!)
Yeah… hope you’ve enjoyed these epic pieces of music! I’ve been listening to them for weeks already, and I’m still not tired of them. Maybe I’m a sucker for epic music like these. XD
PS: Yes, I’m changing the theme back to one which I had used before. Simply because it’s simple and it gave no problems… so yeah. :)
I didn’t notice the blogroll was missing from the navigation pane on the right, until just now. So yeah, I’ve added the links back in. A couple of the blogs are kinda inactive… but hey, I wouldn’t know when they will update again, so I’ll just leave them there for now.
Gonna head to bed now, so yeah, will post a proper entry some day soon, when there’s something for me to blog about. :D
