When I first saw her, my first impression &#8211; &#8220;Wah this auntie like a bit ugly looking hor&#8230;?&#8221; \u00a0I&#8217;m sorry for being so superficial, but when she opened her mouth to talk, that&#8217;s really my first honest impression. \u00a0But, by gods, her vocals totally won me over. \u00a0With her first song.<\/p>\n<p>Her very first line gave me goosebumps. \u00a0After she finished her second line, tears were welling up in my eyes. \u00a0By the time she finished her first chorus, I was already crying. \u00a0Her hoarse vocals portrayed the feelings so well, so well that you couldn&#8217;t help but be transported into her world.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of just posting up the song, I&#8217;ve decided to post up the entire before\/after clip, to let people know more about this singer. \u00a0Yes it&#8217;s all in Chinese, but I&#8217;ll try my best to translate under the clip (even the dialogues).<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZKZleIxHeSs\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n00:03 Host: &#8220;I Am Singer&#8221;, the fifth competitor. A heart wrenching song. I can&#8217;t help but feel drawn into her emotions. \u00a0I can really feel her pain as she&#8217;s waiting for the person to come back but the person never came back. \u00a0I can re-watch this 10 times and I would tear 10 times. \u00a0Maybe it&#8217;s the live ensemble that makes the song more epic than it really is towards the end. \u00a0Maybe. \u00a0But I think it&#8217;s really just the way she sings that carries the whole song through.<\/p>\n<p>Not to mention the fact that she hits the &#8220;Dolphin notes&#8221; so damn easily. \u00a0(In English they called it &#8220;whistle register&#8221;.) \u00a0 Her range is&#8230; whoa. \u00a0Unbelievable. \u00a0Her vocal control throughout the whole song. \u00a0How she ended the notes. \u00a0I could just go on and on&#8230; The entire rendition is just perfect.
