I’m amazed by how fast the automatic install for WordPress 3.0 is.\u00a0 In the past, it used to take like 20 minutes to download \/ unpack \/ install, and sometimes it doesn’t even work for the first few times.\u00a0 There were times when I had to try several times before the new update can be installed.\u00a0 But this current version was installed in like, less than a minute.<\/p>\n
I’m impressed.\u00a0 o_O<\/p>\n
With that out of the way…<\/p>\n
Today is Chang Hong’s last day at work.\u00a0 I think I’m going to miss him… for he is a rather efficient and helpful colleague to have around, especially now that I’m dealing with him.\u00a0 Or rather, what his job scope used to be.\u00a0 The other colleague who took over his job and whom I have to liase with from now on… let’s just say that she’s not as efficient nor as competent as CH.\u00a0 Sigh.\u00a0 Oh well, good workers come and go.\u00a0 It’s up to the supervisors and the company to keep these people.<\/p>\n
During his farewell party, another colleague of mine from SQA department (whom I’ve never spoken to) was passing the disposable plates around to us.\u00a0 Suddenly, he turned to me and said, “Oh, the Karaoke Queen!”<\/p>\n
I was like, “Whut o_O?”<\/p>\n
“You are the Karaoke Queen.\u00a0 I heard you sang at the company karaoke a few times.\u00a0 You sang very well!”<\/p>\n
I was about to reply “Uh, not really…”, but he turned away to pass the plates to other people…<\/p>\n
It was rather strange to be complimented by someone whom I’ve hardly spoke to… but it was nice of him to remember.\u00a0 Remember me, that is.<\/p>\n
And I should also remember to reply “thank you” (even if I might not agree), instead of trying to be humble and say anything else.\u00a0 >_><\/p>\n
