Family

Took leave today – well just for the sake of clearing leave. But I realised I’ve not been spending much time with my mom outside of our time spent at home, hence we decided to go out and lunch together.

I took her to Kai Garden, a restaurant which she had never tried before. I went there once with my colleagues, but I had never looked at the menu when I was there. I know it’s expensive, but damn I didn’t know it’s SO expensive. Hahaha I felt a bit bad hence I told her it’ll be my treat. I’m happy that she liked all the dimsum that I ordered though! It’s definitely worth the $101, since it’s damn hard to find food that she actually likes. :D

Yup, it’s my sis’ birthday today! She was here with her family as my mom cooked her favourite dishes for her.

Apart from that… I just got my hands on a spanking new iPhone 16 Pro Max yesterday (day of launch!), and spent the whole of yesterday trying to set the phone up. I think it’s gonna be really hard to get use to it… but I guess eventually it’ll be fine. I’m liking the Face ID, but not a fan of having to unlock every time I need to take the public transport. Sigh.

The battery life is kinda impressive in a way though, though I see from YouTube tech reviewers’ testing was that it still performs worse than Samsung S24 Ultra… which is kinda sad though. Oh well.

The Spigen screen protector is easy to put on, but even though I specifically bought a Spigen hybrid case to match with it, the left bottom corner of the case still somehow pushed against the screen protector and can cause it to lift every now and then. Argh…

Ok enough ranting about this phone… I’m sure I’ll get used to everything at some point. Aye. Good luck to me!
